The land of fjords, ice and polar auroras, Norway is probably the most "Herculean" country around the globe. They are born here only the Vikings and Valkyries, for which all uneasy: the cold, impenetrable forests, the harsh northern nature. In addition, residents of Norway there is downright manic craving for a dangerous (and subsequently glorious) enterprises. Nansen, for example, at a young age of 27, going on skis from his native Norway, had covered on foot almost all of Greenland, then led an expedition to the North Pole and discovered a bunch of areas on the way. And no less famous son of Norwegian Thor Heyerdahl enough that Robinson had lived for a year on a desert island in the Marquesas archipelago (Norway with its snow and frost, I suppose, is regularly dreamed traveler), so more then crossed the Pacific Ocean from South America to Polynesia (neither more nor less than 8000 km!) - and that's on a primitive raft to sail propulsion. The secret of success, which Norway shares with its citizens, we think that best announced himself Heyerdahl.
